This 7-hectare public garden is crossed by a stream populated by ducks, swans and geese, and features around a hundred botanical species. In the past, these allowed medical students to have medicinal plants. This was the primary purpose of this garden, when it was created in 1794 by the will of the naturalist Philippe Picot de Lapeyrouse. Today, it is the joggers and especially the families who have invested the place. Because everything is done to entertain the children: playgrounds, merry-go-round which operates every day from 2 p.m., little train and sometimes even pony rides! Thanks to the footbridges, it is easy to reach the Grand-Rond garden and the Royal Garden.
