In Toulouse, gardens appeared in the 18th century, with the project of beautifying the city by linking it to the countryside. The usual name of Grand Rond recalls its function as a gigantic roundabout since it serves four aisles. But its second name, square Boulingrin, refers to the English bowling green, this rectangle of grass where you play boules. You can picnic there among the various species of trees and many varieties of flowers or indulge in a romantic walk among the statues, which you will end under the bandstand while admiring the fountain. From its footbridges suspended above the boulevards, you can access the Jardin des Plantes or the Jardin Royal to fill up on greenery!
