The first public garden in Toulouse, the Jardin Royal was created by Louis de Mondran in 1754 and then transformed into an English garden in the 19th century. Decorated with a duck pond, a pretty bridge, very beautiful wrought iron benches which ingeniously serve as railings, this small garden also houses statues, in particular those in honor of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and of his Little Prince or Déodat de Séverac. Many tree species such as ginkgo biloba, hackberry, Lebanese cedars, Virginia tulip tree, Osage orange tree confirm its remarkable garden label. A little extra, you can access the Grand Rond and the Jardin des Plantes by taking the footbridges that connect them.
