Located near the old ramparts of Toulouse, visible on Boulevard Duportal, this garden surprises with its exoticism. It is home to the Japanese Garden, a Zen garden with a tea pavilion, red bridge and dragon. But on the remaining 7 hectares, you can relax, watch the children play, have a drink at the refreshment bar, picnic at the edge of the vast body of water... Created in 1980 on the initiative of Mayor Pierre Baudis to replace the site of barracks abandoned by the army, there are also spaces dedicated to towns twinned with Toulouse: for Elche, a bust of the Lady of Elche, a statue of Picasso for kyiv and a sculpture of a phoenix for Atlanta. And we come across a famous character, Carlos Gardel, star singer of Argentine tango, born in Toulouse.
